It’s not often that we get to photograph a female soldier. I (Jae’) know from experience that sometimes you do not feel pretty in BDU’s and combat boots. That’s why when you get the opportunity to let your hair down and feel and look pretty it’s always a wonderful moment. Especially if you’re expecting your first baby, like Kristina. She was so much fun to work with and full of joy. We all fought through the giant ants and poison ivy to get what we envisioned. We are looking forward to meeting the little guy and photographing him with mommy and daddy. Here are a few images from the maternity session. Enjoy!!
On May 15th we had the opportunity to take part and capture the Youth summit 2010 sponsored by Hodac at New Hope International – Warner Robins, GA. This was a prevention and self esteem event geared toward preteens and teens ages 10-18. The special guest speakers were Marc Fomby and his team from FTC Prevention Services out of Richland, Mississippi. Not only did the teens learn about prevention, they also had fun which consisted of a few dance competitions, name that song game and great sports ability by Kingdom Impact. This was by far one of the best teen events that we’ve seen in our community.
If you’ve never heard of Hodac, here is a brief description. Hodac’s main service areas include Information & Referral, Intervention, Education and Gateway Programs . Referrals, information, and special programs are offered through Hodac – programs that assist employers, teachers, those with substance abuse problems and their families, compulsive gamblers and their families, adolescents at risk, crime victims, and many others. Mr. & Mrs. Northern married at Victory Deliverance Tabernacle in Warner Robins, GA. The wedding was definitely a family affair. There weren’t many dry eyes in sight as the bridesmaids dressed in their matching green cocktail dresses and groomsmen in their tux with green accessories walked down the aisle to the sweet sounds. As Ciara walked down the aisle escorted by her brother, Marcus looked on with a smile on his face, parents with tears in their eyes. We were pleased to capture the moment. The ceremony was followed by the reception at the NCO Club on Robins AFB where we concluded their intimate night shots. Congratulations Marcus and Ciara! Had a very eventful weekend, but started it with a wonderful session at one of our favorite locations with the Styles family. We absolutely love to photograph our baby club members. It gives us an opportunity to see how much the little ones have grown. Little Kamryn is 10 months now and just as cute as can be. We were about 15 minutes in the shoot when all of a sudden the rain came from out of nowhere. It’s amazing what 5 seconds of pouring rain can do. Living in Georgia we do not see as much snow as we’d like. Our local weather man was a bit skeptical about all the snow hoopla as well. It was amazing how one minute it was nice and sunny and the next SNOW. Growing up, I (Jae’) was told that it God getting a haircut . As photographers, we could not resist going out in all of the white stuff. So, we decided to go to one of our favorite locations to shoot “Hollows Lost Woods” (that’s what we named it). There’s something about Christmas time that I absolutely love. Maybe it’s the fact that we get to connect those who are away from their families with portraits and Christmas cards. The Early family is from Baton Rouge and are huge New Orleans Saints fans. We loved how they incorporated their roots with the holidays with a beautiful Mardi Gras Christmas tree and a Saints Flag blowing in the wind. Last Saturday we had the opportunity of photographing and meeting the Smith family for the first time. We were very excited about welcoming their new baby “E”. On October 24th we had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful couple. We started the day by capturing them along with the wedding party at one of the local farms. It’s always great to have favor with the local farmers. They also had a very intimate ceremony at the International City Conference Center in Warner Robins, GA. We decided to surprise the Payne’s and their guest with a Live Photobooth at their reception. It was a huge hit with everyone. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs.Payne. Last week, we had the pleasure of photographing Pastor Heri Hernandez for his new CD that will be release in 2010. The CD will consist of love, praise, and worship songs. Pastor Hernandez is the pastor of Maxima Alabanza Centro De Adoracion Interncaional in Warner Robins, GA. Pastor Hernandez has released over five CDs with his current being a compilation titled Heri – Enviado and a book Cuando Dios Ruge (When God Roars!). His goal is to develop strong leadership within the church, create avenues for growth in all areas, and to minister to the Latino community and the world.
