Megan

Monday, July 27th, 2009

We met Megan a few months ago at a wedding we had to shoot. She expressed how she wanted to do a session with us and would get back with us soon. We were excited last week when we heard back from her. Last Saturday we did her shoot and all we can say is, “Megan the Agency will love you”. We wish her well and look forward to seeing you on a few spreads, covers, commercials, etc. Special thanks to her mother for coming out to support. Congratulations Megan!!!! Here are a few images from the shoot. Enjoy!!

Sunflower Sunday

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Lately we’ve found some amazing places to shoot right in our own backyard. Friday we came across a sunflower field on our way back from shooting an Untouchable Society teen. So we decided to take our daughter out for a little shoot. She’s been dying to wear this dress that she calls “The wedding dress”. We wouldn’t have chosen a better lazy Sunday. If there was a competition for who had the most fun, I think it’s a 3 way tie. She had to bring one of her favorite stuffed animals along who she calls “Lambie”. The shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the awesome chair designed by Teddy. Here are a few images from our Sunflower Sunday. Enjoy!!

Mr. & Mrs. Bell – Love & Basketball Fearless Bridal

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

When Thomas and Elizabeth mentioned that they wanted to do a Fearless Bridal session, we were really excited. They decided to go with something that they both enjoyed….Basketball. Who knew that Elizabeth could slam dunk on Thomas on an eleven plus feet basketball goal. Guess you have to see it to believe it.. This session was a bitter sweet one for us. We’ve been working with Thomas and Elizabeth since they welcomed us into their lives about 2 years ago. Now they are moving away to a wonderful city in Florida. We are so happy for them and congratulations. We look forward to coming down to capture more milestones in your lives. Here are a few images from the session. Enjoy!!

Untouchable Society Shoot – AWESOME!!!

Monday, July 13th, 2009

Yes, we had another Untouchable Society teen model shoot. All we can say about this one is WOW. Our model Dominique is a senior at Perry H.S. in Perry, GA. She loves to model (obviously), fashion, and writes poetry. When she came out to audition, we knew that we wanted her to represent the U.S. Not only did we have a great model, but a super talented crew. We would like to thank Ms. Toni and Ms. Ann for allowing us to work with their daughter and granddaughter. Here are a few images from the shoot. Enjoy!

Part One of the Summer Project Completed!

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

Last week I posted about summer projects for 2009 which was reupholstering children’s furniture. I am pleased to show our new addition to our children’s furniture line. I cannot wait to use this in a portrait session. A personal thank you goes out to Alex at Lipson’s Fabrics who helped me with the fabric choice. Part two is coming soon…

Summer Project 2009

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Back in the day during summer, when school was out, my mom would make sure we had an arts and craft project. Since then I have made it my personal goal to have a personal arts and craft project outside of photography. I have always loved antiquing and I love finding children’s furniture and reupholstering them.

Last year I reupholstered 2 chairs both I used in client sessions. Check them out:

This year I have decided to continue my reupholstering project with the redesign of two chairs I have been holding on to. I love the frame but the fabric clashes with clothing children wear for our sessions.

I want to paint the frame white but like my black and white chair I want the gold to show through giving it a vintage look.

I still have not decided the fabric color but I am looking for something vibrant that will go well with children’s clothing. Here are the chairs before I start.:

The seat itself will need more foam for cushion.

First I removed all the fabric. Here are the chairs stripped naked.

As you can see the fabric backing is stretched out so I will replace it also.

Next I will paint the frames and look for my fabric. I’ll keep you updated on my summer project and I hope you will invest your time in a summer project too. (^_^)

Take care.

20 Years & Counting…

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

This session reminds me of an oldie but goodie by Al Green…..Love & Happiness. “Loving you whether times are good or bad, happy or sad!” Kenny and Teena celebrated their 20 year anniversary back in March, but finally had the opportunity to use the gift that their daughter Nuri gave them. We had the honor of capturing them last Saturday in Atlanta, GA at the Millennium Gate. We always get excited to meet married couples who have been together for a long time. These days that is hard to come by. Not only did we enjoy this session, but we also learned a lot from them. Happy 20th Anniversary! Here are a few images from the session. Enjoy!
