On May 15th we had the opportunity to take part and capture the Youth summit 2010 sponsored by Hodac at New Hope International – Warner Robins, GA. This was a prevention and self esteem event geared toward preteens and teens ages 10-18. The special guest speakers were Marc Fomby and his team from FTC Prevention Services out of Richland, Mississippi. Not only did the teens learn about prevention, they also had fun which consisted of a few dance competitions, name that song game and great sports ability by Kingdom Impact. This was by far one of the best teen events that we’ve seen in our community.
If you’ve never heard of Hodac, here is a brief description. Hodac’s main service areas include Information & Referral, Intervention, Education and Gateway Programs . Referrals, information, and special programs are offered through Hodac – programs that assist employers, teachers, those with substance abuse problems and their families, compulsive gamblers and their families, adolescents at risk, crime victims, and many others. We are so pleased to be part of such a wonderful program. Here are a few images from a great day. Enjoy!
We always look forward to sponsoring the Walk for Babies event. This year’s event was at the Ocmulgee National Monument in Macon, GA. It was great to see all the teams lined up dressed in their colors and company t-shirts. There were moon walks, Wii stations, cotton candy, snow cones, face painting and tons of fun all to benefit March of Dimes. The ambassadors for this year were twin girls Walker and Hayden Tom. Thanks to Jennifer Simmons and the entire Central Georgia March of Dimes staff for putting together such a wonderful walk. Here is a fusion video from the event. Enjoy!!
Living in Georgia we do not see as much snow as we’d like. Our local weather man was a bit skeptical about all the snow hoopla as well. It was amazing how one minute it was nice and sunny and the next SNOW. Growing up, I (Jae’) was told that it God getting a haircut . As photographers, we could not resist going out in all of the white stuff. So, we decided to go to one of our favorite locations to shoot “Hollows Lost Woods” (that’s what we named it). The snow was fun, but we hate how it looks after it melts. Here are a few images from our little Photo Stroll. Enjoy and Happy Valentine’s Day!!
A new year is here and 2009 is locked away in history. Because of you Exodus Photography better than previous years There were so many things that we accomplished in 2009 some include, opening our first office/gallery in the Macon Mall and being featured in the December 2009 issue of “Popular Photography”, a national photography magazine. We are truly humbled by the out pouring of blessings in 2009 but most of all we are humbled by you choosing Exodus Photography. You opened up your homes and shared your candid moments with us. You trusted us to get the job done and even allowed us to place you in funny poses and strange locations to pull together some amazing photographs. We love receiving every email from you even those late at night and very early in the morning. We even developed a close relationship with you on Facebook and even in person. We have watched many of you share your engagement, get married, and even your first child together through moments that we’ve captured which says a lot about your love for us. There have been many moments where we have laughed and cried behind the camera capturing those precious moments.
And for that we are humbled….. Thank you!
As we begin 2010 we pray this will be a wonderful and prosperous year for you and your family. We hope that you will begin steps to capture your dreams and your New Year’s resolution. We hope that you will share with your family and friends about choosing Exodus Photography for their photography needs. If there is any way we can improve our service or products or if you just want to stop by the office or email us to say hi, please do so.
To our family we personally thank you for the support you have given us since starting Exodus Photography. From the times we shared our dream for starting Exodus Photography to helping us with the logistics and being the strong shoulders to lean on when we needed you. You have been a great team behind the scene to make Exodus Photography function like a well-oiled machine. Thank you so much for being there. We know that blessings will shower down on you for your continuous support.
Thanks again everyone and let’s make this year a great year to make history.
Halloween weekend was a very exciting weekend for Exodus Photography. It was exciting because we had our grand opening, ribbon cutting, wine tasting, welcomed trick or treaters, captured the awesome Michael Jackson tribute by The Phillips Performing Arts Group, and gave out gift certificates. The thing that brought joy to our hearts was how people of all nationalities, ages, status, etc. came together to dance. What better way to end the night than with dancing. WHEW!!!!! We’ll just let you see for yourself. Enjoy!
We were proud to be the photo sponsors for the March of Dimes walk in Houston County, GA. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The March of Dimes carries out this mission through programs of research, advocacy, community service and education. The March of Dimes is here for all babies. In Georgia alone, one in every seven babies is born premature. We had a fun filled morning or walking, running, and dancing with music provided by Douglas Productions. We even had a moment where were danced to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. Here area a few images and video from this great cause. We know many of you have been wondering what our “Big Project” has been for the last month and a half. Well, before we get into all of that, let us first give you a brief history lesson. Well, back in 2005…la la la la la. Ok, we’ll get straight to it. We are pleased to announce a new addition to the Exodus Photography family…our 1600sqft office and boutique style photography gallery. We have been working so hard on it and it’s just what we wanted. We were excited when the idea of the Art Space Initiative was presented to us by the Macon Mall. The gallery is almost complete. Waiting on one major thing….the SIGN!!!
We are having a soft opening on Wednesday, August 12th for our family and an open house for everyone on Saturday, August 15th from 1:00pm-5:00pm. We are located in the Macon Mall, through JC Penny, upper level next to Claire’s Accessories. The address is 3661 Eisenhower Parkway Macon, GA. We can’t wait for all of you to stop by, have a little sparking grape juice with us to celebrate this great milestone. Thanks to everyone who helped out and prayed with and for us. Here are a few images from beginning until now. Enjoy!!
Lately we’ve found some amazing places to shoot right in our own backyard. Friday we came across a sunflower field on our way back from shooting an Untouchable Society teen. So we decided to take our daughter out for a little shoot. She’s been dying to wear this dress that she calls “The wedding dress”. We wouldn’t have chosen a better lazy Sunday. If there was a competition for who had the most fun, I think it’s a 3 way tie. She had to bring one of her favorite stuffed animals along who she calls “Lambie”. The shoot wouldn’t have been complete without the awesome chair designed by Teddy. Here are a few images from our Sunflower Sunday. Enjoy!!
