Adventure in Juliette – Anna & J’s Engagement Session

Monday, June 14th, 2010

You all know that we love to do different things and go different places.  Well, this time we went to Juliette, GA – McCrackin Dr. the location where the movie Fried Green Tomatoes was filmed.  This engagement session was packed full of fun and love. First of all, these are some of the nicest people ever, and they invited us to some of their favorite places in Juliette.  J even shared a few of his childhood memories where he spent most of his summer days at the mill and dam.  Now the dam was another story in itself.  We loved how Anna and J were willing to step out onto the ledge of the waterfall and slide across rocks and algae to make their session memorable.  This was a really nice change of pace for us to shoot in new and meaningful locations.  We are looking forward to your wedding in September on Lake Oconee!   Here are a few images from the session…Enjoy!

Whodat Getting Married? Jessica & Sam

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

We first met Jessica and Sam at a wedding that we shot last year.   Jessica and I (Jae’) kept in touch after that day.  I was glad to get the news that she and Sam were engaged one beautiful day in March.  After catching so many bouquets and garters, this Louisiana native and this USAF Captain from Georgia are ready to plan their own weddings.  We had a wonderful time capturing them during their engagement session.  There is so much love and affection displayed without us having to remind them that, “Hey!  You’re getting married, act like it!”  We are looking forward to capturing their special day on June 12th at the New City Church in downtown Macon GA.  Here are a few images from the session.  Enjoy!!

Love at FVSU Part Deux – Shenica & Andre’

Friday, April 16th, 2010

We’ve been spending a lot of time on the campus of Fort Valley State University these days. Visiting Teddy’s Alma Mata brings back so many memories for him as well as our engaged couple. This time we were there shooting an engagement session for Shenica & Andre’. When I first met them, I was told by Shenica that our photography brought tears to her eyes. We are truly humbled by her comment and look forward to capturing the love between this wonderful couple on May 1st at Henderson Village in Perry, GA as they become husband and wife. Here are a few images from the session. Enjoy!

Ciara & Marcus Engagement – Love @ FVSU

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

It was nice to get a spring preview in the winter. The weather couldn’t have been better for Ciara and Marcus’ engagement session. We decided to take them back to where it all started – Fort Valley, Georgia. First stop was Massee Lane Gardens one of Georgia’s hidden treasures. Beautiful garden, beautiful couple, and cute little puppies. Ciara and Marcus also showed us a little bit of their athletic ability by doing a few cartwheels and back flips. Our next stop was Fort Valley State University where their love for each other began where Marcus was on the football team and Ciara was a cheerleader. I’m sure a few stunts and touchdowns were made to impress. Marcus scored the ultimate touchdown when he asked Ciara to be his wife. We’re looking forward to capturing their special day March 8th in Warner Robins, Georgia. Here are a few images from their session. Enjoy!!

David & Abby – Engagement Session

Monday, November 30th, 2009

This engagement session took place at Dauset Trails in Jackson, GA.  If you’re into nature, this is a great place to visit.  They have so much love and concern for their family.  I do not get emotional often during engagement sessions, but this time I did (shhhhh, no one knows).  There were so many sentimental factors that went into this session.  We’ll be happy to share them later.  We are so excited about David and Abby’s wedding scheduled for June 5, 2010 at Jackson Presbyterian Church in Jackson, GA.  Here are a few images from the session.  Enjoy!

Teddy & Jae’

Joshua & Jessica – Engagement Session

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

This couple was extremely fun to photograph. They wanted to do their engagement session in a less urban area, so we took them to Pineola Farms in Fort Valley, GA. We loved how they were not afraid to show us how much they were in love. They even showed us a few of their dance moves. Joshua and Jessica are great dancers bt the way. We are looking forward to capturing them on their wedding day March 27, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church in Macon, GA. Here are a few images from this fun engagement session. Enjoy!

David and Tara

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

We’re always excited to do engagement sessions.  Tara and David were so funny.  We have one model who loves the camera and a Westpoint Grad who put on a great act until the very end.  If you were to put the 2 together, you’d get Hilarious.  It amazes us how the groom tends to be a little camera shy, but after about 30 minutes is the main one who wants to continue the session once it’s over.  Tara and Davis will be married October, 9th at the beautiful Glendalough Manor in Tyrone, GA.  Congratulations!  Here are a few images from their session.  Enjoy!

Engagement: Rex & Amanda

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

What an amazing couple!  We met Amanda at a bridle show a few years ago.  She was one of the models in the show.  She had mentioned to us that she was getting married once she graduated college.  Well, that time has finally come and we are so happy for them.  We photographed Rex and Amanda’s engagement session and all I can say is Southern Charm!  These two are so in love and it shows in their photos.  Rex and Amanda’s beautiful beach wedding ceremony will take place July 10th in Pensacola, FL.  Congratulations!  Here are a few images from their session.  Enjoy!!

Family Day in the Park

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Once again, the rain cleared out just in time for this family session at Central City Park. We met Joe and Cami a few years ago while making plans for their wedding photography. They decided to have their engagement portraits taken last weekend. It was also great to know that they wanted to include their children. It’s always great to see families come together. Each one of them has their own personality, but they have one thing in common. They’re all excited about their extended family. Thanks Joe, Cami, Lajia, Azia, Kamiyah, Mustapha, and Haashim for such an awesome day at the park. Here are a few images from the session. Enjoy!

Love,

Teddy & Jae’

New Toy! Canon 5D Mark II

Friday, April 3rd, 2009

Exodus Photography is pleased to announce that we’ve acquired one of the latest and greatest cameras to be released by Canon, the Canon 5D Mark II. We currently own the Canon 5D Mark I and it has been a wonderful camera for every project we shoot. And now the Canon 5D Mark II has taken us to another level. So what does this mean for our clients? One, better quality photos with wonderful color range. Two, the ability to take photos in very low lighting which comes in handy for weddings. Three, we can now take full HD video which will allow us to offer candid videos for client.  Check out this fusion video from Chris and Sabrina’s engagement session made using the Canon 5D Mark II:
